We Hear You! What You Can Expect in 2019

In the year+ that I’ve served as Membership Manager, it’s been an honor to get to know the nonprofit leaders and organizations that serve our community. The best part of my day is hearing from you about the amazing work you’re doing. I am often the first call that members make when they have questions or need help, and I take that responsibility seriously. At Mission Capital, we know the importance of having a reliable place to connect with when you’re experiencing challenges.

In addition to learning more about your organization, I’ve also received feedback about members’ experiences. I’ve heard your thoughts, both good and bad, but a few themes emerged:

  • Community is important to many of you. Knowing there’s a place and space for nonprofit specific support is important.
  • Recruiting, supporting, and developing leaders with a limited budget for professional development is a major priority for most organizations.
  • Using the job board, navigating our member portal, and accessing benefits information quickly is vital for efficiency. You’re busy and you need to know what you can count on!

We hear you. And we want you to feel supported. So, we’ll be making changes to membership to ensure that Central Texas leaders, organizations and networks all feel connected and served. You’ll hear more in the coming months but for now, be on the lookout for a new membership model and packages to be debuted in January 2019.

As we move into the final months of 2018, I’ll share information about these packages and the membership structure that will better serve your needs. We’ll have listening sessions, previews with survey feedback, and I’ll meet in-person with many of you.
