What’s New in WeThrive?
WeThrive has been a safe haven for BIPOC nonprofit executive leaders in Central Texas, and its impact continues to grow. From creating space for meaningful storytelling to fostering connections that drive systemic change, it has become much more than a leadership program. It’s a thriving community.
Here’s what’s coming up for the WeThrive village and those interested in joining.
Reconnect and Rediscover at Our May Alumni Gathering
The WeThrive alumni network is growing stronger every day, and we’re excited to bring our community together again for an alumni gathering. This event is an opportunity for past participants to reconnect with their cohort, exchange ideas, and meet other BIPOC leaders who’ve joined the movement. We’ll be hosting two Alumni Gatherings this year! Our next event is coming soon on May 22, and we’ll have another in October.
Expect meaningful conversations, shared laughter, and renewed sense of purpose as we continue to co-create a transformational space for nonprofit leaders. If you're an alumnus, we'd love to see you there!
A New Space to Learn: Workshops by Meme Styles
We’re thrilled to announce a new workshop series hosted by one of our WeThrive facilitators. The Culturally Supportive and Equitable Funding Strategies Workshops with Meme Styles and Friends is a five-part virtual workshop series designed to equip BIPOC-serving nonprofit and grassroots leaders with tools, insights, and strategies for securing sustainable funding and building organizational capacity.
The series is open to both WeThrivers and the wider community. It kicked off this week with “Philanthropy 101.” If you missed it, don’t worry, there are upcoming sessions that you can join.
Grow your leadership capacity while connecting with peers across the nonprofit space. We invite you to learn more about the series and how you can join that space.

Why WeThrive Matters
A 2020 study by the Building Movement Project revealed critical insights about the racial leadership gap in the nonprofit sector. BIPOC leaders often lack access to peer support and face systemic challenges that are rarely addressed by traditional leadership programs.
WeThrive is different. By prioritizing brave spaces, shared learning, and equity, it’s equipping leaders like you to elevate your voice and your mission. Whether you’re building an organization from the ground up or fine-tuning your legacy, WeThrive helps you harness your potential and set sustainable goals.
Stay Connected, Stay Inspired
WeThrive isn’t just a program; it’s a movement. It’s a village of changemakers who are committed to creating a more equitable, sustainable future for the nonprofit sector and beyond.
Whether you’re an alum looking for ways to reconnect, a nonprofit leader seeking tools to scale your impact, or a curious newcomer ready to explore what WeThrive is all about, there’s a place for you here!
