Celebrating Successes and Looking Ahead

We’ve had another banner year at Greenlights, thanks to our amazing family of members, supporters, clients and partners. We are so proud of this nonprofit community and are truly blessed to get to be a part of it. We are humbled to be able to share a few of our major accomplishments in 2013, which so many of you made possible! And we’re not about to slow down – we have BIG plans for 2014!Major accomplishments in 2013:
  • Increased membership by 34%, including a 238% increase in individual members
  • Connected 2,500 members in the 501(c)ommunity, a 160% increase over 2012
  • Provided professional development to a record 1,800+ workshop/training participants
  • Launched a new board recruitment site, OnBoard
  • Hosted another successful Texas Nonprofit Summit with 700+in attendance
  • Brought national and local experts to discuss nonprofit mergers with 200+ nonprofit leaders
  • Consulted with 38 great nonprofits, including Sustainable Food Center, Meals on Wheels and More, Center for Child Protection, Austin Parks Foundation, Austin Film Society, E3 Alliance, ACC Career Expressway Project, and more!
  • Earned a consistent 9.2 out of 10 in client satisfaction
  • Published 3 new research reports
  • Established our first endowment with nearly 5 months operating reserve
  • Hosted Party for Good, bringing 520 people together to celebrate our nonprofit sector and support our work

As for 2014, you may recall that we’re preparing to launch a new strategic plan for Greenlights in which we set out to create truly bold goals that will allow us to exponentially grow our impact in the community over the next few years. As part of this new plan, we’ll be conducting extensive research on the CenTex nonprofit sector and focusing on how we can collectively better “move the needle” on big problems facing our community. We’ll continue to share details as our plan progresses!
