An update on our transition
As we shared in March, Mission Capital will cease operations this summer. The executive committee, board members, and I have been hard at work taking every necessary step for an intentional and responsible honoring of our staff and transition of programs.
Upon careful consideration of Mission Capital's remaining assets and timeline refinement as we seek program transitions, all staff worked diligently to support operations through May 1, 2026, and we are deeply grateful for their time, love, and stewardship they exhibited during this time. While they are no longer working with Mission Capital, the legacy continues thanks to their immeasurable contributions. Going forward, the transition process will be managed by a contract administrator and led by myself and the executive committee consisting of Monica Williams, Jeff Pinsker, and Lara George. We invite you to reach out to myself or one of them if you have any questions.
Regarding the transition of the impactful programs Mission Capital built over its 25 years, we are engaged in thoughtful conversations with nonprofit partners and the funding community to find them new homes where they can continue to thrive and serve the community. Despite Mission Capital's closing its doors, we are excited for a bright future for these programs - and we think you will be, too.
Of special note: Mission Capital will continue to accept and post opportunities on its Job Board in service to the nonprofit community through the transition. If you would like to post or review job opportunities in the sector, please do so here.
On behalf of the board and staff of Mission Capital - and all who came before us - thank you for your engagement and support through this time. We are planning a gathering to honor Mission Capital's legacy in June, so please stay tuned for that. We will post the event here on MissionCapital.org on our socials, and in our newsletter, and we invite all to attend.
